Easton police look to future as new station rises

And as Easton police Chief Carl Scalzo and Captain of Field Services David Beitler looked over the diagrams on Tuesday afternoon that show what will go where in the new police station on North Fourth Street, it was clear they were envisioning bricks and mortar rather than lines on a page.

Several months into construction on the three-story building that is joined to the old Express-Times structure, which the department will share with an arts-oriented charter school, everything is on schedule, Scalzo said.
