559 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018

During the early 1990’s Ashley Development first ventured into the urban arena undertaking the historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of one of downtown Bethlehem’s marquee properties. The 176 year old building was formerly home to Orr’s Department Store and sat vacant for several years following its closure. ADC restored the original façade, which has been certified by the National Park Service, and repositioned its use for multi-tenant occupancy, 17 retail units on two levels, several with a storefront orientation on Main Street, and 33,000 square feet of professional office space on two upper levels. The building has remained fully leased since it opened in 1997 and has been instrumental in Historic Downtown Bethlehem’s renaissance.
